It has been a few years since my last blog post. I’ve had a series of major ankle surgeries, which has prevented me from doing in person clinics. Nevertheless, I have continued to fervently study the FREE THROW.
The national mean average for FTP at the college level has gone up in the past three years from 69% to 71%. That is actually genuine improvement from the 40 year standstill at 68-69%. I’d like to think it was because of the influence Automatic Free Throws has had. I see many players using my method or at least some components of it. That being said, there still are too many players missing free throws, especially at critical junctures of games. This has been apparent in 2021 March Madness so far. Just ask Ohio State, UNC Greensboro, and Texas Tech if free throws were a factor in their losses.
